The third endeavor of Robert Werhane’s Experience hospitality, Ernest & Olivia delivers top quality, attitude-free service geared towards today’s laid-back professional.  Featuring renowned hair stylist Helik Torres to lead a team of master barbers and stylists, Ernest & Olivia will be an establishment that conjures a “way it should be” experience for its patrons, offering complimentary cocktails from a full-bar of fine wines and top shelf liquors, as well as carefully sourced coffees and teas. 

The Ernest side of the shop pays homage to the authentic, old-fashioned image of the traditional barbershop, with classic, leather Belmont barber chairs reclaimed from the St. Regis Hotel, vintage lighting and mirrors, and antique backgammon and checker boards.  However, services remain geared towards a modern lifestyle, so a flatscreen TV has been installed so gentleman can enjoy watching a game as they get a shave and a haircut.  Comfort must also be convenient, and as such, Ernest & Olivia will be open five days a week from 7:00 AM (and on weekends beginning at 10:00 AM) until the last customer walks out the door, honoring their belief that “If you want, we will cut.”

On the Olivia side, Torres will offer more traditional salon services from coloring to cuts and styling. The design is a continuation of Ernest’s old world charm, combined with a well-appointed uptown parlor.  The space’s casual elegance is complemented by an outdoor garden space, where guests can sip wine while waiting to have their service completed.  The full length trellis mirrors and handsome ticking striped walls help create a chic, sophisticated space in which Torres can work.
